The Resurgence of LSD
There has been a resurgence in psychedelic therapy and use for both mental health and for “bio-hacking” for cognitive enhancement in the last handful of years, and it seems to be ramping up significantly over the last few months.
In December of 2019, the results were published from a true double-blind study that was done in the UK, where 48 healthy older adults were given a low dose of LSD with rigorous, clinical tests. The patients were administered doses of LSD at levels of 5, 10, and 20 micrograms, with another group receiving a placebo. During this same time, we at www.microdoseonline have been gathering reports from some of our clients, and the stories below are testament to the effectiveness of this treatment.
The results were that each person undergoing the tests experienced various effects, with none of them reporting any negative medical conditions. The goal of the study was to prove the safety of the medicine, and they will now be moving on to researching the efficacy (or effectiveness) of wether LSD microdosing is useful for Alzheimers prevention and treatment.
“Data from other safety assessments performed, including blood pressure, pulse rate, clinical laboratory evaluations (i.e., hematology, blood chemistry, urinalysis), electrocardiogram (ECG) parameters, and physical examinations, further support the conclusion that periodic low dose LSD did not present a safety concern during the 21-day period studied.” (link to the full study results: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00213-019-05417-7)
These results are not surprising at all to those of us who have been utilizing the benefits of microdosing, both with psilocybin mushrooms or with LSD; however, once again, the science is catching up to the stories, and we are seeing the medical community embracing what has been widely accepted in the underground psychedelic communities.
So why should you microdose LSD as compared to psilocybin or magic mushrooms?
The personal reports from those microdosing mushrooms and LSD are resulting in a distinct difference between the two compounds. Mushrooms tends to create a more heart-centred and emotional response, whereas LSD tends to open up cognitive potential, and create a sense of alertness and flow-state that is quite different than the mushroom counterpart.
(To be clear, we feel both LSD and Psilocybin mushroom microdosing are effective, safe, and highly useful).
The stigma surrounding LSD is greater in most cultural circles due to the media and political narratives that were spun in the late 60’s and 70’s, however this chemical that is found naturally in the rye berry deserves to be considered for many applications in microdosing.

Responses from current people microdosing
Following are a number of personal accounts from those who participated in a survey through www.microdoseonline.com.
“Micro dosing (LSD) has helped me look at things from other angles, and has helped me be more present in the moment instead of worrying about what’s ahead. It offers a new perspective on ideas I didn’t know I needed a new view on.”
“Microdosing has lessened my anxiety and makes me smile more often.”
“Microdosing has helped me in so many ways. I have struggled with depression/anxiety and micodosing has helped to balance and ground my whole being. I have found emotional regulation and inner contentment through the use of microdosing along with opening my creative center and allowing me to express my true self.”
“I am off alcohol for the past 3 years. And it’s not like AA. I can have a drink, I just don’t feel the need or desire. And if I do, like to chin with someone and celebrate something.”Also, it has helped me to quit procrastinating. I am a man of wild dreams. But for the longest times the dreams I had were in my head and didn’t translate into reality. That has changed. I now take action on my dreams and move forward daily with different tasks that get me closer to where I want to be. And at the same time, I am very satisfied with where I am currently.”
“I have been microdosing for the past 3 months and have seen a significant improvement in my energy level and mood, as well as the consistency with which I am able to perform well at my work. “
“I switched from microdosing magic mushrooms to the LSD spray, and immediately noticed a marked difference in my ability to manage my anxiety. The LSD helps me observe when it comes up, and rather than let it consume me, I am able to manage the waves that used to overwhelm me.”
“I’ve been taking the (LSD Spray) for a few months now and the impacts are significant. I feel wide awake, balanced emotionally, fully focused and grounded. I strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to have perspective on their struggles or to address a lack of concentration and memory.”
These are but a few of the stories that are being told over and over around the world as people start to connect with these plant medicines. If you are curious, let this be the beginning of your research.
